The highlight of this place was, without a doubt, the respectful welcome that was given to all children, regardless of their social or cultural origin. It was something that was not at all common at this time.

This library created a very bright and cozy reading area, with furniture designed especially for children. The books were rigorously selected and all were on shelves that were within the reach of the children.

The famous Parisian library was, in truth, a revolutionary place that was very successful among children and young people. They think it was a very pleasant and inviting area, and the work of the librarians who worked there was remembered for a very long time.
