Family as a primary “circumstance”

Children’s first contact with the outside world arises through their family, which are individuals who want to shape how they are structured as individuals.

Whether you got enough love in childhood, you were heard and appreciated, you grew up with emotional and material deficiencies or you were a victim of abuse, are all factors that will affect your ability to learn new things.

A family’s contribution:

  • Basic education
  • Behavioral framework through established standards
  • Emotional security

Children learn social skills from the nuclear family. Therefore, when they enter the education system, they already arrive with a lot of information.

Children’s constructed self-images  have to do with what they observe around them and the way the people around them resolve situations.

Circumstances as an ally

Children’s intellectual development stems from the social environment in which they grew up, which helps them grow as individuals and in relation to others.

Regardless of what the environment is more or less positive,  if we understand it in relation to educational systems, it will be much simpler to ensure that they do not lose heart.

The media

TV is good at catching children’s attention and therefore has a huge impact on them. It is easy to observe what is being communicated. Sometimes they are not even aware of what they are seeing, but the message is clear.

In addition, one tends to watch more television over time. Children take what they learn from TV for granted. Especially at a young age. This creates a different type of circumstance within their cognitive development.

New technology affects children’s level of education

New technology surpasses traditional media and changes current learning processes. Today’s generation requires interactive aspects, high speed and technological support. It’s all about the circumstances in which they grew up, as well as the information they learned along the way.
